Threaded portion of strain rods are subjected to
high alternating stresses. Due to this, micro cracks
generates & can bring about fatigue failures. To
avoid this shot peening of strain rods is required.
MECSHOT has developed dry peening machine for this
purpose.
This machine operates on direct pressure principle
of shot peening. The operator places the job on the
motorized rollers, which are mounted on track
extension. The external surface of rods gets peened
by horizontal gun reciprocation. The operator has
only to load and unload the job on and from the
rollers.
